Chapter Eleven

Edward

Jerking off with his human boyfriend was by far the strangest and coolest thing to have happened to Edward since his untimely death. Not the least of which was the fact that Edward had gotten it up at all. Without blood flow, it should have been impossible, but so should their strange relationship and even saying the word boyfriend. So, Edward was going to take what he could get.

And by taking what he could get, he meant waking Miguel twice in the night to either jerk him off or attempt to suck his cock.

Miguel didn’t seem to notice when it was his hand around his cock or Edward’s mouth, but that just gave Edward the freedom to practice his skills without the fear of shame. For he’d only kissed a man once in his life and had never even seen a bare cock, aside from his own, until Miguel had offered himself up so freely.

Needless to say, Miguel was late to wake the next morning.

Not wanting to disturb his beautiful, sleeping man, not that he really could, Edward got dressed and went for a long walk, circling the property half a dozen times. The sound of a drill or some kind of power tool snagged his attention when he passed the barn on his next lap.

Miguel was working on something special, Edward knew. He wasn’t sure what since Miguel had been annoyingly evasive, but it wasn’t like Edward could call him out on his tactics and pry for information. When Edward arrived, drifting through the nearest wall rather than using the open doors, Miguel had a large slab of what looked like granite uncovered and was toiling away with a breathing mask and eye protection on.

If what Edward suspected was correct, based on the size and shape of the piece, then it seemed his sweet and patient boyfriend was making him a headstone, something Edward had longed for for nearly a hundred years. How this fascinating and accepting man had come to understand Edward so thoroughly in their short acquaintance, Edward didn’t know. But he was eternally grateful for the gift that was Miguel Rivera. Someone who saw him and knew what he needed despite being invisible and unable to communicate.

Being forgotten and cast aside by his own family, laid to an uneasy rest without so much as a cross to mark his grave, had been a hard burden to bear.

A bit emotional, Edward hovered in silence and watched as slowly and painstakingly, words began to take shape in the slab; rough at first, then clearer as Miguel worked.
